Robin Merritt · The Adult ADHD Series

It was never laziness.
It was never a character flaw.

Eight books on what is actually happening in an ADHD brain, and on the executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, time blindness, clutter and burnout that nobody warns you about.

The Adult ADHD Collection, hero

Sound familiar?

If two or more of these land, this collection was written for you.

You cannot start it, cannot switch off it, and cannot finish it — and willpower has never been the missing piece.
Time is not something you can feel passing, so you are late and behind on a life that will not wait.
A mild bit of criticism lands like a catastrophe and you cannot talk yourself down from it.
You clear the mess properly, and within a week it is back exactly as it was.

Why these are different

Mechanism, not character

Why the brain does this, explained once and properly, so the unfinished projects and missed deadlines stop reading as a verdict on who you are.

How it actually shows up

Including in women, where masking and a late diagnosis mean decades of being told it was anxiety, or nothing at all.

Honest about the cost

A whole book on ADHD burnout, and clear throughout about the point where this needs an assessment and a clinician rather than a book.

The 8 books

Each one solves a single problem and stands on its own.

Questions

Do I need a diagnosis to read these?

No. The first book is written for the point before anyone has confirmed anything, and the series is explicit about when an assessment is the right next step.

I was told it was anxiety for years.

That is the subject of book two. ADHD in women is routinely missed because it is masked, and what surfaces instead is the anxiety that masking produces.

Is this just productivity advice?

No. It starts from how the brain works rather than from a system to follow, and it is blunt that the standard advice assumes a brain that regulates attention on demand.

What format are they?

EPUB, which opens on Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, phones and tablets. Yours to keep.

About Robin Merritt

Robin Merritt

Robin Merritt spent nearly four decades believing the problem was character — the unfinished projects, the missed deadlines, the intelligence that never quite translated into the life it should have. The Adult ADHD Series is the explanation he did not get until late.

He writes for the person who has been called lazy, scattered or not applying themselves, and is plain about where a book stops being enough and an assessment begins.
