Robin Merritt Adult ADHD Educator

Robin Merritt spent nearly four decades believing the problem was character. The unfinished projects, the missed deadlines, the friendships let slide, the intelligence that never quite translated into a life that worked — all of it filed under ‘not trying hard enough.’ The adult ADHD diagnosis, when it finally came, reframed everything: not a moral failing, a neurological difference that no one had ever explained.

Robin’s work sits at the intersection of ADHD science and lived reality. Robin is not a clinician and writes that way on purpose. These books are designed to feel like a long, honest conversation with someone who has the same brain you do and has spent years figuring out how it works — not a textbook, not a workbook of neurotypical hacks, but a clear explanation of why you are the way you are and what actually helps.

Robin’s interest in ADHD is not academic. Like most readers of these books, Robin knows the specific exhaustion of white-knuckling through a world built for a different kind of brain, and the particular grief of realizing how much easier things could have been with an earlier answer.

The Adult ADHD Series is the result: eight books, each targeting one dimension of the adult ADHD experience, written for the reader who is done feeling broken and ready to understand themselves instead. Robin writes and publishes independently.
