Frances Bellamy Menopause Educator

Frances Bellamy spent two years believing she was losing her mind. The anxiety arrived first, then the rage, then the 3am waking, and finally the day she couldn’t remember a colleague’s name mid-sentence. She was told her bloods were normal. She was told it was stress. She was forty-four.

What followed was an enormous amount of reading — guidelines, research summaries, and every menopause book she could find — driven by the simple, furious question of why nobody had explained any of this in advance. Her work sits at the intersection of that research and the lived reality of the transition.

Frances is not a clinician, and she writes that way deliberately. Her books are not medical advice and never pretend to be. They exist to do the thing the system so often fails to do: explain what is happening, name the symptoms honestly, distinguish what the evidence supports from what it doesn’t, and send a woman into her next appointment able to ask precise questions and refuse to be dismissed.

The Menopause Clarity Series is the result: eight books, each covering one dimension of the menopause transition, written for the woman who has been told she’s fine and knows perfectly well that she isn’t. Frances writes and publishes independently.
