Simone Adler Grief Counsellor

Simone Adler is a grief counsellor and trauma-informed therapist with more than twenty years of clinical experience working with clients navigating loss, identity, and the emotional experiences that fall outside the conventional grief narrative.

Her work began with a simple observation: the people who came to her were rarely grieving only what they said they were grieving. Beneath the anxiety, the numbness, the relationships that weren’t working, and the low-grade feeling that something essential was missing — there was almost always a loss that had never been named. A parent who was physically present but emotionally absent. A marriage that had quietly ended years before the paperwork. A career that had taken an identity with it when it went. A grief the world had no ritual for and no language about.

The Grief You Don’t Talk About series was born from that clinical reality. It is Simone’s attempt to put into writing the conversations she has been having in her consulting room for two decades — and to extend them to the people who haven’t yet found their way to a therapist’s chair.

She lives outside London and maintains a private practice specialising in disenfranchised grief, complex loss, and identity recovery.
